First Devlog

Woke up this morning without much gumption. Week at work was brutal. Now it is morning again and I have things to do in... the morning. I am good at sleep! I'll get at least 5 hours ;p Did manage to get some things done in the morning. Also wasted a lot of time trying to visualize the species data as a node graph. I succeeded.

I've done a little over half of the species in the spreadsheet. So, it is incomplete and messy. Yet it did show me a few interesting gaps I'll that someone will need to fill in. I did eventually start writing code again. Got a few hundred lines written and changed how I'm doing species traits in code. A little cleaner. I also as you can see, started this website, and created a logo for it.

Not the worst looking thing.

Todo:

  1. Get character code started and a skeleton for characters in game, and in data.
  2. Learn UE5 Slate user interface and start building game UI. Primarily focused around displaying character traits and attributes as well as event dialog.
  3. Begin terrain generation code and research.
    1. World gen.
    2. Zone gen.
    3. Dungeon/interior gen.
