Spent a lot of time digging around in the Species Doc too. Really starting to get an idea of what this game will feel like. Also open for comments.
Got Blender and Unreal talking. Modeled a random barrel and injected it straight into unreal using python plugin. Good stuff. Kinda confused by the whole grouping thing. I'd rather have single actors that have 4 or 5 models all together, treated as one asset. But it's 4 or 5 static meshes grouped together, so that if you select the parent you select them all, and rotation and position is relative to parent. I could always build skeletons for all of the things that need sockets. Might be the way to go.
